This course is designed for qualified teachers who plan to offer pre and postnatal classes, but are aware of the need for more study to enable them to teach safely and with confidence. Most 200 hour courses include pregnancy yoga, but the majority of 200 hour graduates feel inadequately prepared to teach this lovely client population. Prenatal yoga teaching is a specialist subject requiring specialist study.

Lead Teacher Biodata :

Jane’s first introduction to yoga was at the age of 13, when her mother Ruth attended classes with the great B K S Iyengar, in London in 1966. Ruth loved the classes and Iyengar gave her his book, Light on Yoga, signed and dedicated, with notes advising her on postures and modifications following a mastectomy. When Ruth died in 1967, Jane inherited this treasure and comforted herself by practicing yoga. This wonderful inheritance, and the good fortune to study with teachers of wisdom and integrity, continues to provide her with inspiration, strength and joy 40 years on.

I have just finished my first prenatal yoga course. Each of my students have had or are about to have their babies. There were five in all and each is having a boy! I started to advertise prenatal yoga as soon as I graduated from Jane's course. I had an immediate response and the students really enjoyed the class. I have been teaching yoga for over 10 years now and never felt comfortable when a pregnant mother wanted to take the class.
